Inverse Texel Density
Simply stated, Inverse Texel Density means, "the smaller the object, the higher the texel density", in other words, the texel density is inversely proportional to the size of part. This is the most common method of texturing and most artist do it without even thinking about it or knowing that they are doing it.
A convenient way to quantify Texel Density for a particular part is by determining smallest pixel

- Talk about camera distance limits and texel resolution choices. Use Q8 pilot as an example, and talk about marketing screenshots and the 'cost' it may have on performance. Perhaps with today's hardware it doesn't matter.
